Ash, you have a nice post here. Self love is critical. Too critical to be put away. When we do not love ourselves, we tend to hide ourselves, criticize ourselves, see the best qualities in others, and the worst in ourselves. However, God has made us all the way that we are for a reason. Even if we feel as though it is not enough, God would ask us on the day of judgement what we have done with what he has blessed us with, regardless of how small it was. God expects us to use what he has given us well. If you are blessed with talents, he expects you to use it to make the world a better place, and to glorify him. God gives more blessings to those who use what they are given well. God is also not the sort of creator who would leave us to do it all by ourselves, he is with us every step of the way and he helps us to become our best selves. However, people often forget that when God creates a person, he creates them with skills, talents, ideas, and those things are an investment, the question is, has God gotten any useful returns from the investments that he has made on you? When people hate themselves, they hardly make any useful returns from God’s investment on them. Therefore, self love is extremely critical to being somebody in life, and glorifying God’s great glory.
No matter the situation, God says in Jeremiah 29:11
“For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope”.The Bible says in Isaiah 41:10
“Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand”.If you do not yet have a relationship with the Lord, I would strongly suggest that you begin one. There are a lot of blessings that comes from knowing the Lord, and being in fellowship with him. If you already have a relationship with the Lord, that is good, keep believing and working to deepen your relationship with him, and I am sure that he would come through for you somehow.
